What's up!
:iconmaverickgraphics:
It's me, Maverick!

Welcome to the very first chapter of "Meet a Deviant" series with Maverick!

What is "Meet a Deviant"?

Since this is the very first of our "Meet a Deviant" series, I would like to explain everything about our series.

"Meet a Deviant" series is a journal series started by yours truly in order to further support other Featured Deviants in our Community. This is the third of our "Featured" project, wherein the "Featured Deviants" on my page is the first and "Mavs' Newsletter with Exclusive Featured Deviants" is the second.

How does these projects help publicize other Deviants?

Featured Deviants makes the use of the typical way of publicizing Deviants by sharing a Deviant's Icon or Works in your own Page, in my case, my page.

Mavs' Newsletter makes use of featuring deviants on my personal weekly Journal wherein all their icons will be listed and an "Exclusive Featured Deviant" will be given a space in the newsletter to put their description and show their works.

Meet a Deviant is the bigger and better version of "Exclusive Featured Deviant" wherein a Deviant will be featured in his own Journal authored by me.

So that's it? How do we know that deviants are publicized well?

Publicized "well" or not, what's important is at least someone is willing to share their works to the rest of the community. Also, I'm an active member of the community. I am an Admin and member of many groups in DeviantArt where the journals can be shared. Also, I'm a regular user of Point Accounts such as dAhub, dAbigHeartedPoints, A-M-A-P etc etc. where a deviant can be heavily and effectively publicized.

For more info about the Point Accounts, read this journal

Ok, so what's the catch?

Sadly, I'm not able to pay for the features I need here in DeviantArt, especially Premium Membership. I have to rely on others' points in order to continue running the services. Therefore, I will need :points: from you guys in order to pay for the needed features.

Where will all your paid :points: go?
1. Premium Membership Extension of my page in order for me to keep all the aesthetics of my page and the journals.
2. Payment for the Point Account publicity, such as dAhub
3. Payment for the needed features to improve the design of my page and journals.
4. Prices for the contests that I will make where all subscribed Featured Deviants will be shown as sponsors.

So how much do we have to pay?

For the featured deviants service (on my page and newsletter), prices are shown in here.

For the "exclusive featured deviant" on my newsletter, you will have to pay 100 :points:, inclusive of your description and 3 of your works.

For the "Meet a Deviant Service", an initial payment of 250 :points: is needed, inclusive of your own journal, description, shoutouts, 2 questions for our interview and 3 of your works.  An additional of 50 :points: can be given to get 2 more questions and 3 more works featured. (Example, 500 points can get you 10 questions and 15 of your works, in total). The limitations on the questions and works are put in order to reduce the length of the journal. You don't like to read a 30,000 word feature right?

If you are interested, just send me a note about it and we'll sort it out :)

NOW! Unto the featured deviant!

Our featured Deviant #1 one is

Spideecartoon

:iconspideecartoon:

Spideecartoon is a self taught artist who has been drawing since she was young. She draws daily and uses her talent in order to relax her. She enjoys using da Muro on DeviantArt since it works well for her. Since June 9, 2015, she's been a deviant for a year with a whopping 2,974 Deviations and 39,234 pageviews. Pretty awesome eh?

Interview with Maverick

(M is Maverick, S is Spideecartoon)

M: What's up Spideecartoon! So, uhm, why did you join DeviantArt?
S: I joined deviant art a year ago because a friend of mine saw my drawings and suggested that I join so the world could see my art. :)

M: I see, so how active are you in Deviant Art?
S: I'm active everyday on deviant art . I hardly ever log out!

M: Wow! Really? Hahaha, well what do you usually do in here and what do you think about the community?
S: I upload my works daily. The da community is a great support. I have many watchers and great comments on my arts daily. :)

M: Let's talk about your art, what kinda of art do you make?
S: I draw all kinds of artwork in my style. From cars to furniture to scenery to people and many more.

M: Why did you start doing your art?
S: Why? I love drawing and deviant art Muro is amazing to draw with! :)

M: Who or What are your inspirations for doing your Art?
S: My everyday life inspires me. :)

M: That's really good to know! Now, what do you feel about being critiqued by the members?
S: I don't mind being critiqued, it helps me out.

M: Now before we end, what do you want to say to your watchers and everyone who reads this Journal?
S: A big thank you to all my watchers and everyone who reads this! Thank you!

M: And that's it folks! Don't forget to check spidEEcartoon's page and her works :) Give a watch, a llama and a bit of fave while you're doing it! haha. Thank you for reading!

Sup guys, Maverick here! Welcome to my very first Newsletter! This is where I put all the stuff about my life, my deviantart page, and everything else. Why here? Facebook's too mainstream and personal (right..). I might be doing this weekly, every weekends, depending on my schedule. By the way, I'll be speaking mainly in English so that most of the people could understand me (don't worry im not conyo at all). My grammar's bad though, meh.
So anyways, here we go!

What's new?

Well, I recently figured out how to make my own Journal Skin, thanks to the adorable SimplySilent. Due to that discovery, I decided to change my page's layout and do Newsletters from time to time.

I also recently came back to my old GTA SA:MP Community, Next Generation Gaming  and decided to keep in touch with my bros there. It was pretty cool. They welcomed me back warmly and I'll still check the community out once and a while.

I'm also thinking about changing my username. I've been thinking of either using "MaverickVispoDesigns" , "MVispoDesigns" or my official OC name, "HumbertoUmbracato". Let me know what you think :)

I recently became an Administrator of :icongfxcommunityonda:.
The focus of this group is to collect graphical resources and works to help others become a better artist. Join the group now guys! See you there :)

To the more personal stuff,

As far as everyone know, I'm currently reviewing for my Civil Engineer Licensure Exam this November. Thankfully, I'm doing great and my pacing is pretty good. I get a bit of stress here and there but overall, I'm doing pretty well.

I'm currently inactive for a bit due to my Review Classes.

I will be on, once and awhile to moderate my page, UE-CE-DesignTeam, GFXCommunityonDA, my "Featured Deviant" service, Adoptables and GFX Commissions.  So just send me a note or drop a comment below the page if ever you need me. Thank you ^_^

Featured Deviant Service:

Our featured Deviant Service is BOOMING! The service recently earned me around 1,500 :points: since April, thanks to all our featured deviants below. To honor our subscribers, I've decided to give an exclusive feature of a random deviant on our subscribers list (and sometimes, on my watchers list *wink wink*) everytime I make a newsletter. A bit of description about them will be made and 3 of their works will be shown.

Also, you can now get your own exclusive feature (if you don't want to be randomly picked). 100 :points: can give you your own spot on my latest newsletter plus 3 of your works will be shown. Just send me a note if you're interested.

Just click on the image below if ever you're interested in being a subscriber.

Our exclusive Featured Deviant for this newsletter is,

Tamabelle aka Amelia one of the kindest deviants around. She helped me out on my page when I recently came back. She's the first person to buy my Kitsune Fox Adoptables. She describes herself, as written on her page, as a fan of Tamagotchi and all things cute. She's also into drawing, animation, programming, writing and reading. As of today, she's also interested in Commissioning Art :)

So what is dAhub?

dAhub is a DeviantArt account owned and operated by one male user with the assistance of a bot.  The owner is an Astronautical Engineer residing in California, USA.

This is an unofficial account and is not affiliated with deviantART.

The program running the day-to-day operations on this account is written in Java.  As of July 2012, the program handles all routine operations.  All questions and other unique requests are handled by the human operator.

The bot works by automating what a human typically does such as logging on/off, reading/interpreting content, loading/storing data from/into a database, sending replies to comments/notes, updating profile page content areas, etc.

It may be noted that this account acts somewhat counter-culture to dA's typical operations.  However, the primary aim of this profile is to connect real users with one another in the same community-building atmosphere as the rest of the site.  Despite allegations to the contrary, the activity generated by this account is completely genuine.  No "fake" profiles are used to generate activity for this account and any illegitimate profiles operated by other users discovered posting here are promptly banned.

This account serves as a platform for users to reach a broader audience and to spread their generosity to a greater number of users than ever before.

What are its features?

1. Donate Points to be Featured!
If you donate 20 points or more and include the words
feature me
in the donation message, you will be featured in all three sections of the Donation Widget on my profile page.  You will receive watchers, favs and llama badges.  Your avatar will be removed from the widget when the cumulative value of the watchers, favs and llama badges you have received matches the points you donated (refer to the "Transaction Rates" section below).  Donors may give points through the Donation Widget on my profile page (publicly or anonymously) or through the "Give" button; all donations are processed in the same way.

Donations of 19 points or fewer will be temporarily stored until more points are received (cumulatively 20 points or more)

If you donate 100 points or more you get 25% extra activity for FREE

2. Earn Points by Watching, Faving and Giving Llamas to dAhub Donators!
Users who have donated points to dAhub are featured in the Donation Widget.  Watch, fav and send llama badges to some of the users listed in the respective "Watch", "Fav" and "Llama" sections.  Leave one commenton my (dAhub) profile page and the account will send you points.

You do not need to specify which users you have watch/fav/llama'd, these will be programmatically discovered.  You will receive the same number of points for commenting "done" as if you listed every user you watch/fav/llama'd

Please only leave one comment at a time.  If you watch/fav/llama some users, leave a comment, and then watch/fav/llama more users, do notleave any more comments until you receive a reply.  The first reply you receive will summarize your earnings across all your unanswered posts.

DO YOU REALLY GET POINTS FROM IT?

Yes, of course, check out the donations widget on my page if you doubt it :)

Good news!

I've recently Graduated from University of the East - Manila last April 16, 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Most of my year was spent on being the Director of Arts for UE's ACES-PICE (Association of Civil Engineers - Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers) Chapter.

As a Director of Arts, I started my own Civil Engineering Design Team focusing on Multimedia Designing. We've recently invaded DeviantArt in hopes of using DA's features on both learning and sharing our works.
